Kicking off in Chicago during the DNC in August and available through November, this series uses the films as a catalyst for political action during the election season and an opportunity to build community around cinema. The BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, founded in 2009, is an Oscar-qualifying film festival dedicated to promoting Atlanta as a film mecca for people of color, to showcasing films created by people of color and providing networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers. SPECIAL SCREENING for WOMENS EQUALITY DAY with Vote Equality and the movement leaders featured in RATIFIED. This is likely to be the liveliest screening all year - hundreds of activists, politicians and movement leaders you will see in the film will be present in the theater. A fundraising event for Vote Equality, a non-partisan organization continuing to work toward the publication of the Equal Rights Amendment.
SPECIAL SCREENING with Equal Rights Maine, a movement to enshrine a state-level Equal Rights Amendment in Maine’s State Constitution. All proceeds from this event will go to support Equal Rights Maine.
